Description
The UV Light 30 Watt 1380 LPH is a complete ultraviolet water-treatment unit designed to provide UV-C microbial treatment for water flows of up to 1,380 litres per hour.
Unlike replacement UV components, we supply this product as a complete UV treatment assembly, including the 30W UV lamp, electronic ballast, quartz sleeve and UV chamber.
As water passes through the stainless-steel UV chamber, the UV lamp produces UV-C radiation that helps control microorganisms in the treated water. UV treatment is a chemical-free disinfection method and does not remove suspended solids, dissolved minerals, salts or other contaminants from the water.
The unit is suitable for domestic, borehole, drinking-water and other compatible water-treatment applications where UV disinfection is required.

Why choose UV light 30 watt 1380 lph?
- Complete UV system: Lamp, ballast, quartz sleeve and chamber are supplied together.
- 30W UV lamp: Provides the UV-C source required for the treatment process.
- 1,380 LPH capacity: Suitable for water-treatment applications requiring flow rates up to 1.38 m³/h.
- Simple component matching: The major UV components are supplied as one complete unit.
- Chemical-free treatment: UV uses ultraviolet radiation rather than adding disinfecting chemicals to the water.
- Suitable for multiple applications: Can be incorporated into domestic, borehole and small commercial water-treatment systems.
- Replaceable components: The lamp, ballast and quartz sleeve can be replaced as part of ongoing maintenance.
How the UV unit works:
- Water enters the UV chamber.
- Water flows around the quartz sleeve containing the UV lamp.
- The 30W UV lamp produces UV-C radiation.
- UV-C exposure helps inactivate microorganisms as the water passes through the chamber.
- Treated water exits the UV unit and continues to the point of use.
Installation & maintenance:
- Install the UV unit in the correct direction of water flow.
- Install suitable pre-filtration before the UV system where required.
- Ensure the incoming water is compatible with UV treatment.
- Isolate the water and electrical supply before servicing.
- Do not operate the UV lamp outside the chamber.
- Never look directly at an operating UV lamp.
- Clean the quartz sleeve periodically as required by the water quality.
- Replace the UV lamp according to the manufacturer’s recommended service interval.
- Inspect the quartz sleeve during maintenance and replace it if cracked or damaged.
- Check all water connections for leaks after installation.
- Protect the ballast from water ingress.
- Use appropriate surge protection to help protect the electrical components.
