A dosing pump is a positive displacement pump that is designed to inject a chemical or any other substance into the flow of water, gas or steam. Dosing pumps are typically small and provide an extremely precise flow rate for maximum control. The major part of these pumps is a valve that will suck the chemical liquid from the chemical tank to the pump. The pumps are built with a switch that gives an alarm when the chemical liquid has decreased. With the use of a piston or plunger, the dosing pump forces the fluid from the inlet to the outlet of the pump.
