Description

The Domestic Reverse Osmosis Booster Pump is a diaphragm booster pump designed to increase feed-water pressure in compatible domestic reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

The booster pump is particularly useful in installations where the incoming water pressure is insufficient for the RO system to operate effectively. By increasing the pressure supplied to the RO membrane, the pump helps maintain suitable operating conditions for compatible RO systems.

The compact diaphragm design makes the pump suitable for domestic RO installations where additional feed-water pressure is required. The pump operates at a working pressure of 80 PSI (5.5 bar) and incorporates a pressure-bypass function to help control system pressure. The pump operates on 24 VDC and is designed for use in compatible water-treatment and reverse osmosis applications.

Important: Always confirm the pump’s voltage, pressure requirements, connection size and compatibility with the RO system before installation.

How the RO Booster Pump Works:

The booster pump is installed in the feed-water line of a compatible reverse osmosis system. It increases the pressure of the incoming water before it reaches the RO membrane.

Increasing the feed-water pressure can help the RO membrane operate within its required pressure range when the incoming water supply is insufficient.

The pump operates at a working pressure of 80 PSI (5.5 bar). Also the pump also incorporates a pressure-bypass function at 125 ± 10 PSI (8.6 ± 0.7 bar) to help control pressure within the system.

The pump requires a 24 VDC power supply and should be used with a suitable transformer or power supply rated for the pump’s electrical requirements.

Important:

Before purchasing or installing the pump, confirm the following:

  • Required motor voltage.
  • RO system compatibility.
  • Required operating pressure.
  • Pump connection size.
  • Electrical current requirements.
  • Available incoming water pressure.
  • Compatibility with the RO membrane and other RO components.
