UVC Pro UV Reactor 32W PRO-08 complete UV water-treatment unit with a 32W UV lamp and 304 stainless-steel reactor. The unit has a 23–30 L/min flow range, ½ inch male NPT inlet and outlet connections and a maximum working pressure of 8.5 bar.

Description

The UVC Pro UV Reactor 32W PRO-08 is a complete ultraviolet water-treatment unit designed to provide UV-C microbial treatment for compatible water-treatment systems with flow rates of up to 30 litres per minute.

The system uses a 32W UVC Pro UV lamp inside a 304 stainless-steel UV reactor. As water passes through the reactor, it is exposed to UV-C radiation, which helps inactivate microorganisms in the treated water.

UV treatment is a chemical-free water-disinfection process and does not add chemical disinfectants to the treated water. UV treatment does not remove suspended solids, dissolved minerals, salts, iron, hardness or other non-microbial contaminants. Therefore, use appropriate pre-treatment where required.

The PRO-08 is supplied as a complete UV reactor unit and is designed for compatible domestic, borehole and small commercial water-treatment applications.

Why choose the UVC Pro UV reactor 32W PRO-08?
  • Complete UV reactor: Supplied as a complete PRO-08 UV treatment unit.
  • 32W UV lamp: Provides the UV-C light source for microbial treatment.
  • 23–30 L/min flow range: Suitable for compatible domestic and small commercial applications.
  • 304 stainless-steel reactor: Provides a durable chamber for UV water treatment.
  • ½” male NPT connections: Suitable for compatible plumbing installations.
  • 8.5 bar pressure rating: Suitable for installations operating within the specified maximum pressure.
  • Chemical-free treatment: Uses UV-C radiation rather than adding chemical disinfectants to the water.
  • Compact design: Suitable for installations where a compact inline UV reactor is required.
  • Replacement components available: Compatible UVC Pro components can be replaced as part of ongoing maintenance.
How the UV reactor works:
  • Water enters the UV reactor through the inlet.
  • Water flows through the reactor chamber around the quartz sleeve.
  • The 32W UV lamp produces UV-C radiation.
  • UV-C exposure helps inactivate microorganisms as the water passes through the reactor.
  • Treated water exits through the outlet and continues to the point of use.
Installation & maintenance:
  • Install the UV reactor in the correct direction of water flow.
  • Confirm that the plumbing is compatible with the ½” male NPT connections.
  • Suitable ½” female fittings are required to connect to the reactor.
  • Install suitable pre-filtration before the UV system where required.
  • Ensure the incoming water is suitable for UV treatment.
  • Keep the flow within the specified 23–30 L/min operating range.
  • Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of 8.5 bar.
  • Isolate the water and electrical supply before servicing.
  • Never operate the UV lamp outside the reactor.
  • Never look directly at an operating UV lamp.
  • Avoid direct exposure of skin and eyes to UV-C radiation.
  • Inspect and clean the quartz sleeve periodically according to water quality and maintenance requirements.
  • Replace the UV lamp when required.
  • Replace the quartz sleeve if it becomes cracked or damaged.
  • Check all connections for leaks after installation.
  • Protect the electrical components from water ingress.
  • Suitable surge protection is recommended to help protect the ballast and electrical components.
Warranty & electrical safety:

Due to the sensitive nature of electrical products, consumables such as bulbs and ballasts do not carry a warranty. It is recommended that suitable surge protection be installed to help protect the electrical components from voltage fluctuations and electrical surges.
