Stage 1: Sediment Filter Functions: Removing sand, rust, mud, sediment, etc. in water.

What is Filtered water?

Filtered water is water that passes through a device, which removes impurities in the water by means of a physical barrier or chemical process. Filtered water has fewer total dissolved solids (TDS) than water that has not been filtered.

Description

The 1 Stage Domestic Counter Top Purifier with Faucet is a compact point-of-use water filtration system designed to improve the taste, odour, and clarity of municipal drinking water. Unlike a reverse osmosis system, this purifier uses Ultra Filtration (UF) technology, making it ideal for areas with low Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) or where water conservation is important, as it produces no wastewater.

Ultra Filtration uses a 0.01-micron hollow fibre membrane that removes suspended solids, sediment, bacteria, and many microorganisms while allowing beneficial minerals to remain in the water. Because it does not require electricity or a storage tank, the system delivers filtered water directly from your tap with minimal maintenance.

What is the Difference Between a 1 Stage Counter Top Purifier and Reverse Osmosis?

A 1 Stage Domestic Counter Top Purifier uses an Ultra Filtration (UF) membrane to physically remove sediment, bacteria, and suspended particles from the water. It retains naturally occurring dissolved minerals such as calcium and magnesium, does not require electricity, and produces no wastewater.

A Reverse Osmosis (RO) system uses a semi-permeable membrane and water pressure to remove up to 95% of dissolved salts, heavy metals, chemicals, bacteria, viruses, and other impurities. RO systems produce highly purified water but generate wastewater during the purification process and typically require a storage tank.

For municipal water supplies with relatively low TDS, an Ultra Filtration system is often an excellent, water-efficient solution. Where dissolved salts, high TDS, or chemical contamination are concerns, Reverse Osmosis offers a higher level of purification.

Features:
  • Single-stage Ultra Filtration (UF) system.
  • 0.01-micron hollow fibre membrane.
