Faucets Taps (also known as an under-counter faucet or filter tap) is a secondary plumbing fixture typically installed alongside a main kitchen faucet to provide dedicated access to purified drinking water from an under-sink filtration system.
Core Components
- The faucet consists of several key parts that work together to deliver water from the supply line to your glass
- Spout: The visible, curved tube that directs water into the sink. High-arc or goose neck spouts are common in under-sink designs to make filling tall pitchers easier.
- Handle/Lever: Controls the flow of water. Most filter taps use a single, small lever that rotates 90 degrees (quarter-turn) for quick operation.
- Valve/Cartridge: The internal “heart” of the faucet. In modern models, this is often a ceramic disc valve, which is highly durable and resistant to leaks.
