The Water Company supplies filter housing brackets and spanners to support the installation, maintenance and servicing of water filtration systems. These practical accessories help secure filter housings in position and make it easier to open them when replacing filter cartridges.

Whether you are installing a new domestic water filter, assembling a multi-stage filtration system or maintaining a commercial water treatment plant, choosing the correct bracket and spanner helps simplify routine maintenance.

Choosing the correct bracket or spanner:

Before purchasing, check the dimensions and type of your filter housing to ensure that the accessory is compatible.

Housing size: Confirm whether you have a standard 10-inch or 20-inch housing, or a Big Blue housing.

Bracket configuration: Choose a single, double or multi-housing mounting bracket according to your installation.

Mounting requirements: Ensure the bracket can be securely fixed to a suitable wall or mounting surface.

Spanner compatibility: Select a spanner specifically designed for your housing type and size.

Maintenance access: Leave enough space beneath the housing to remove the sump and replace the cartridge.

Important maintenance advice: Before opening a filter housing, isolate the water supply and fully relieve the pressure. Follow the housing manufacturer’s instructions, inspect the O-ring and use a suitable food-grade silicone lubricant where recommended. Avoid excessive tightening, which can damage the housing or seal.
