The use of a Venturi Injectors can increase the water mixing rate and increase the amount of gas dissolved in water.

Venturi’s are typically used for dosing chemicals (such as ozone or chlorine), into water.

A venturi creates a constriction within a pipe (classically an hourglass shape). Accordingly that it varies the flow characteristics of a fluid (either liquid or gas) traveling through the tube.

Venturi tubes are used in processes where permanent pressure loss is not tolerable. As well as where maximum accuracy is needed in case of highly viscous liquids.

Finally a venturi can also be used to mix a liquid with a gas. If a pump forces the liquid through a tube connected to a system consisting of a venturi to increase the liquid speed (the diameter decreases). As a matter of fact short piece of tube with a small hole in it, and last a venturi that decreases speed (so the pipe gets wider again). The gas will be sucked in through the small hole because of changes in pressure. As a result the end of the system, a mixture of liquid and gas will appear.”
