Description
The Residential RO Low Pressure Switch is an automatic pressure-control and protection switch designed for use with compatible domestic reverse osmosis (RO) systems equipped with a booster pump.
The switch monitors the incoming water pressure to the RO system. If the water pressure falls below the switch’s preset operating point, it interrupts the electrical supply to the booster pump, helping to prevent the pump from operating without an adequate water supply.
Low inlet pressure can affect RO system operation and may contribute to pump damage if the booster pump continues running without sufficient feed water. The low-pressure switch provides an additional layer of protection by automatically switching the pump off when insufficient water pressure is detected.
The switch is suitable for compatible under-sink, countertop, wall-mounted and other domestic RO systems, subject to the system’s electrical and pressure requirements.

How the Low-Pressure Switch Works:
The low-pressure switch monitors the water pressure entering a compatible RO system. When the inlet pressure falls below the switch’s preset operating point, the switch interrupts the electrical supply to the booster pump. This helps prevent the booster pump from continuing to operate when there is insufficient feed-water pressure.
Once adequate water pressure is restored, the switch can allow the system to operate again, depending on the switch configuration and the design of the RO system.
Important:
Always confirm the pressure setting, electrical rating, connection type and compatibility with your RO booster pump before installation. The switch must be suitable for the specific RO system and pump being used.
