Description
Firstly a Unidelta Slip repair coupler 75mm is a specialized compression fitting used to quickly and permanently fix a section of damaged or leaking polyethylene (PE) pipe. Unlike standard couplings, its “slip” design allows it to slide further onto one pipe end. Providing the flexibility needed for repairs when the pipes cannot be moved. In this case it eliminates the need for extensive excavation.
How it works
Due to standard compression couplings have an internal stop that prevents a pipe from being inserted too far. As a matter of fact Slip repair coupler 75mm lacks this stop, which allows it to function as a “telescopic” joint.
- The damaged section of the pipe is cut out.
- The coupler is fully slipped over one end of the remaining pipe.
- The pipe ends are realigned.
- The coupler is then slid back across the new gap to cover both pipe ends.
- Compression nuts on both sides of the coupler are tightened to create a secure, leak-proof seal.
Key features
- Easy installation: The clamping technology allows for quick, tool-free or minimal-tool installation, saving time and effort.
- Durable construction: Made from robust, corrosion-resistant materials like polypropylene, Unidelta couplers are designed for long-lasting performance.
- High pressure resistance: They are suitable for use in pressurized irrigation and water distribution systems, often rated for up to 16 bars at 20°C.
- Broad compatibility: They are compatible with various grades of PE pipe (PELD, PEHD, PE40, PE80, and PE100) that meet international standards.
- Weather and chemical resistance: The materials are resistant to UV rays and numerous chemicals, making them ideal for outdoor and industrial use.
- Reusable: Some models are designed to be easily disassembled and reused for maintenance or adjustments.
Common applications
- Agricultural and landscape irrigation: Repairing and maintaining sprinkler systems.
- Water supply systems: Fixing leaks in drinking water lines, which is supported by relevant certifications.
- Industrial plants: Repairing pressurized piping in various industrial applications.
- General pipe repairs: A fast and effective solution for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals working with PE pipes.
