Description
The UV Quartz Tube 30 Watt is a replacement quartz sleeve designed for use with compatible 30W ultraviolet (UV) water-treatment systems. The quartz tube provides a protective barrier between the UV lamp and the surrounding water while allowing UV-C radiation to pass through and treat the water.
Technicians install the quartz tube inside the UV reactor where it surrounds the UV lamp, helping to keep the lamp isolated from direct contact with the water. Its transparent quartz construction allows the UV-C light produced by the lamp to pass through the sleeve effectively.
A clean and undamaged quartz tube is important for maintaining effective UV transmission. Mineral deposits, scale, dirt or other contamination on the quartz surface can reduce the amount of UV light reaching the water and may reduce the effectiveness of the UV treatment system.
