Shop solenoid valves at The Water Company for reliable, electrically operated water-flow control in domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Our range includes stainless-steel solenoid valves for compatible fluid-control systems and irrigation solenoid valves for automated watering installations.

A solenoid valve uses an electrically energised coil to operate an internal mechanism that opens or closes the flow path. This allows water flow to be controlled automatically by a suitable controller, switch or control system.

Benefits of Solenoid valves:

Automatic flow control: Operate water flow using a suitable electrical control system.

Convenient switching: Open or close the valve without manual operation at the valve itself.

Flexible installation: Available in different connection sizes and configurations.

Application-specific options: Select from irrigation and industrial fluid-control designs.

System integration: Suitable models can be incorporated into automated water treatment or irrigation systems.

How to choose the correct Solenoid valve:

Before ordering, check the connection size, normally open or normally closed operation, electrical voltage, pressure range, flow capacity, temperature limits, seal material and compatibility with the liquid being controlled.

A normally closed valve remains closed when its coil is de-energised and opens when energised. A normally open valve operates in the opposite way. Some valves also require a minimum pressure differential, while direct-acting models may operate without one. Always confirm the individual product specifications and wiring requirements.

Important: Irrigation solenoid valves are not automatically interchangeable with industrial stainless-steel valves. Select a valve designed for the intended application and operating conditions.
