Water carrying the concentrated impurities is discharged through the wastewater line, while purified water is stored in the pressure tank, ready for use. The system removes up to 95% of dissolved minerals and chemicals, while also reducing suspended particles such as dirt, sand, and rust. The optimum pre-charge pressure for the 12-litre storage tank is 6 to 8 PSI when empty. When the tank is full, the operating pressure is typically around 2 bar, depending on incoming water pressure. When water is dispensed, it flows through the integrated Mineral Ball Filter, which helps restore beneficial minerals and improves the taste of the purified water.
