Description
The bottom distributor for a 13″–16″ FRP Tank with a 2.5″ mount is an internal water-distribution and collection component designed for compatible FRP water-treatment vessels. Installed at the bottom of the vessel, the distributor works together with the central riser or lifting tube to distribute water through the treatment media and collect treated water during the filtration process.

How the bottom distributor works:
The bottom distributor is installed at the base of the FRP vessel and works together with the central riser or lifting tube.
During normal filtration:
Water enters the vessel.
↓
Water flows through the treatment media.
↓
Treated water reaches the bottom distributor.
↓
The distributor collects the treated water.
↓
Water enters the central riser/lifting tube.
↓
Water returns through the filter head.
The calibrated slots allow water to pass through the distributor while helping retain the treatment media inside the vessel. This helps promote more even water distribution through the media bed and can reduce channeling.
During backwashing, the flow direction is reversed. Water enters through the riser and distributor before flowing upward through the media bed. The upward flow loosens the media and carries accumulated contaminants out through the filter head.
