The Cartridge Filter Housing 4.5″ x 20″ Blue – 1″ Inlet/Outlet is designed for high-capacity residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial water filtration systems. Manufactured from heavy-duty polypropylene, this Big Blue housing is ideal for high-flow and heavy-sediment applications where larger filter cartridges are required.
Compatible with standard 20″ x 4.5″ Big Blue filter cartridges, the extra-large housing provides increased dirt-holding capacity, higher flow rates, and longer cartridge life compared to standard filter housings. It is suitable for whole-house filtration, borehole water treatment, commercial water systems, reverse osmosis pre-filtration, and industrial process water applications.

Installation:
Install the housing using a suitable heavy-duty mounting bracket. Connect the 1″ NPT female inlet and outlet ports using compatible fittings, ensuring the water flows in the correct direction. Insert a compatible 20″ x 4.5″ Big Blue filter cartridge, lubricate the O-ring with food-grade silicone lubricant, and tighten the sump securely. Slowly pressurise the system and inspect for leaks before placing the housing into service.
