Description
Granular activated carbon (1st Layer of the cartridge):
Firstly Granular activated carbon filters are most commonly found in home drinking water filters available in the market. Nevertheless Carbon has a long history of being used to absorb impurities and is the most powerful absorbing media known. One pound of carbon has a square area of 125 acres and can absorb thousands of different chemicals. Egyptians in old days discovered that storing in water treatment. This filter traps taste, dirt, dust, salt, chemicals, chlorine, and its effectiveness is doubled in our products as the other three most effective elements used in a single cartridge.
Silica Sand (2nd Layer of the cartridge)
Evidently Silica is a combination of oxygen and silicon. The two most prevalent elements on earth. Silica is the mineral building block that promotes healthy bone and connective tissue and helps prevent premature aging and cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s diseases. Silica is growing in popularity as a beneficial mineral supplement to reduce the signs of aging. Its porous structure also enables the absorption of bad elements in water and in one of its unique characters, it always keeps the temperature of itself so to keep the water cool and fresh.
Zeolite (3rd Layer of the cartridge)
Especially Zeolites are natural volcanic material with a number of unique, characteristics:
- Zeolites have and unusual crystalline structure and a unique ability to exchange cations that are positively charged irons. This substitution of irons enables zeolite to selectively absorb certain harmful and unwanted elements from water.
- Zeolite’s exchange sodium irons for calcium irons which results in soft water.
- Zeolite also has a strong affinity for harmful heavy metals such as mercury lead and chromium.
Ion-Exchange Resin/Bio Ball
Finally it the context of water purification, ion-exchange is a rapid and reversible process in which impurity ions present in the water are replaced by ions released by an ion-exchange resin. The impurity ions are taken up by the resin, which must be periodically regenerated to restore it to the original ionic form.
