Description
The ground level box – 15mm plastic water meter – strainer – SABS 20mm valve is a complete, pre-plumbed water-metering assembly designed for convenient surface or ground-level installation. The assembly combines a 15 mm polymer volumetric piston water meter with a durable UV-stabilised polymer meter box, an additional serviceable fine-mesh strainer, and an SABS-approved 20 mm 2-way polymer ball valve.
The additional fine-mesh strainer is fitted upstream of the water meter to provide additional protection for the meter by helping to reduce the amount of debris entering the measuring mechanism. The 15 mm polymer water meter is 114 mm long and features a sealed wet dial, internal non-return valve and pulse output. The meter is approved by the NRCS to Class C specifications in accordance with SANS 1529-1:2019.
The meter box features a UV-stabilised lockable lid, clip-on polymer base plate, tamper-resistant locking mechanism and reinforced 20 mm glass-reinforced polymer male BSP parallel inlet and outlet connections. The complete internal plumbing assembly is pressure tested before dispatch to help ensure the assembly is supplied leak-free. A SANAS-accredited verification laboratory tests and verifies the meter before supplying it.
