Description

The UV Light 55 Watt 2720 LPH 3/4″ is a complete ultraviolet water-treatment unit designed to provide UV-C microbial treatment for water flows of up to 2,720 litres per hour.

The system features a stainless-steel UV chamber and a 55W UV lamp. As water passes through the chamber, it is exposed to UV-C radiation, which helps inactivate microorganisms in the treated water.

This is a chemical-free water-disinfection process and does not add chemicals to the treated water. UV treatment also does not remove suspended solids, dissolved minerals, salts, iron, hardness or other non-microbial contaminants. Appropriate pre-treatment should therefore be used where required.

The unit features 3/4″ NPT female inlet and outlet connections and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 10 bar. The complete unit is suitable for domestic, borehole, drinking-water and compatible small commercial water-treatment applications.

How the UV Unit Works:

Installation & Maintenance:

• Do not exceed the 10 bar maximum working pressure.
• Isolate the water and electrical supply before servicing.
• Never operate the UV lamp outside the chamber.

• Avoid direct exposure of skin and eyes to UV-C radiation.
• Clean the quartz sleeve periodically according to the water quality and maintenance requirements.
• Replace the UV lamp when it reaches the end of its recommended service life.
• Inspect the quartz sleeve during maintenance and replace it if cracked or damaged.
