Description
The UV Ballast 6W – 2 Pin is an electronic electrical control component designed to provide the appropriate starting and operating power required by a compatible 6W ultraviolet (UV) lamp with a 2-pin connection.
The ballast provides the electrical conditions required to start the UV lamp and maintain its operation during normal use. It is designed as a replacement component for compatible UV water-treatment systems where the lamp uses a separate ballast and a 2-pin connection.
The 2-pin lamp connection is an important compatibility requirement. Customers should confirm that their existing UV lamp uses the 2-pin configuration before ordering this ballast.
The ballast operates from a 240 V, 50 Hz electrical supply and includes an indicator light to provide a visual indication of operation.
Important: This product is the ballast only. We do not include the UV lamp, UV reactor, quartz sleeve and other UV system components unless specifically stated.

Important compatibility information:
This ballast should only be installed with a compatible 6W UV lamp using a 2-pin connection.
Before replacing the ballast, confirm:
- UV lamp wattage is 6W.
- The UV lamp uses a 2-pin connection.
- The ballast connections match the existing installation.
- Input voltage and frequency are compatible.
- The ballast is suitable for the specific UV system.
- The physical installation requirements are suitable.
Do not assume that all 6W UV lamps use the same ballast or connection. The lamp wattage and connection configuration should both be checked before ordering.
Using an incorrectly matched ballast or UV lamp may result in improper operation and could damage the UV equipment.
A qualified person should carry out the electrical installation.
Warranty and electrical safety:
Electrical components such as UV ballasts should be protected from electrical surges and installed according to the applicable electrical requirements.
The Water Company currently advises that UV bulbs and electrical components such as UV ballasts do not carry a warranty.
We recommend using a suitable surge-protection device to help reduce the risk of premature electrical-component failure caused by electrical surges.
Always isolate the electrical supply before replacing or servicing the ballast.
