Description
The 1–10 m³/h Rotameter plastic tube type flow meter is an in-line variable-area flow meter designed for measuring the flow rate of water through a piping system. The visible float moves within the graduated measuring tube as water passes through the meter, allowing the operator to quickly read the approximate flow rate.
Its plastic tube construction provides a lightweight and corrosion-resistant solution for monitoring water flow in filtration, water purification, reverse osmosis and other water treatment applications. The easy-to-read graduated scale provides a simple visual indication of flow without requiring electrical power.

How a Rotameter works:
A rotameter is a variable-area flow meter. As water flows upward through the tapered measuring tube, it causes the internal float to rise. The position of the float corresponds to the water flow rate shown on the graduated scale.
This provides a simple visual indication of the water flow rate without requiring electrical power.
Installation:
The rotameter should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation requirements, with the measuring tube positioned in the correct orientation to allow proper float movement and a clear flow-rate reading.
The piping should be properly supported to prevent excessive mechanical stress on the meter. Flush the pipework before installation to remove debris that could interfere with the float or measuring tube.
Important:
- Check the required flow range before selecting the rotameter.
- Confirm that the 63 mm connection size is compatible with the existing piping system.
- Ensure that the system operating pressure does not exceed the rotameter’s 6 bar maximum working pressure.
- Ensure that the operating temperature does not exceed the 60°C maximum temperature.
- Install the rotameter in the correct orientation to allow the internal float to move freely.
- Flush the pipework before installation to help prevent debris from interfering with the float or measuring tube.
