What is Filtered water?
Filtered water is water that passes through a 2 Stage under counter purifier device, which removes impurities in the water by means of a physical barrier or chemical process. Filtered water has fewer total dissolved solids (TDS) than water that has not been filtered.

Description

The 2 Stage Under Counter Purifier with Faucet is a compact point-of-use water filtration system designed to improve the taste, odour, and clarity of municipal drinking water. Installed discreetly beneath the sink, it provides a continuous supply of filtered water through a dedicated drinking water faucet. Unlike a reverse osmosis system, this purifier uses multi-stage filtration to remove sediment, chlorine, and other contaminants while retaining the beneficial minerals naturally present in the water.

The system combines sediment and carbon filtration to reduce dirt, rust, chlorine, unpleasant tastes, and odours, making it an ideal solution for homes supplied with good-quality municipal water. It requires no electricity, produces no wastewater, and offers a simple, cost-effective way to improve drinking water quality.

What is the Difference Between Filtered Water and Reverse Osmosis Purified Water?

A conventional filtration system removes contaminants using physical filtration media and activated carbon. It improves the taste, odour, and appearance of the water by reducing sediment, chlorine, and other impurities. However, it does not remove most Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) such as sodium, manganese, calcium carbonate, and many dissolved minerals commonly found in municipal water supplies.

A Reverse Osmosis system uses water pressure to force water through an ultra-fine semi-permeable membrane that removes up to 95% of dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, chemicals, and other microscopic contaminants. While RO provides a much higher level of purification, it also produces wastewater and typically requires a storage tank.

For homes supplied with good-quality municipal water, a 2 Stage Under Counter Purifier provides excellent-tasting drinking water while retaining beneficial minerals and operating without electricity or water wastage.
