Description
The 80W UV for water tank is germicidal and operates most efficiently at a wavelength of 250 – 260 nano meters. It has a photolytic effect whereby the radiation destroys or inactivates the micro organism so that it can no longer multiply. Unlike other techniques, UV-C photolysis rarely produces potentially dangerous by-products. Disinfecting water with UV technology does not change the chemical properties of the water and also eliminates the chance of overdosing.
Water analysis from an independent SANAS accredited testing laboratory show a 99.8% reduction in total coli forms using the Germicidal Treatment System. Once installed, units only need periodic cleaning and lamp replacement.
