GAC/KDF filter cartridges contain a blend of KDF and high activity de-dusted granular activated carbon (GAC) to give extremely effective and long life de-chlorination capacity, and can be used anywhere regular GAC’s are used. In addition to chlorine removal, KDF filters may be used for the removal of lead and heavy metals. The capacity will be approximately 20% of those listed for chlorine.

Description

The KDF-GAC Combination 10″ Filter – DOE combines the powerful adsorption properties of coconut shell granular activated carbon (GAC) with the advanced oxidation-reduction capabilities of KDF® media to deliver superior water filtration. This dual-media cartridge effectively reduces chlorine, heavy metals, unpleasant tastes and odours, pesticides, and organic contaminants while helping to inhibit the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi within the filter.

The coconut shell GAC improves the taste, colour, and odour of drinking water by adsorbing chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other organic impurities. The KDF media uses a redox (oxidation-reduction) process to reduce chlorine, heavy metals, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and other contaminants while extending the life of the activated carbon media.

Designed to fit standard 10″ DOE (Double Open End) filter housings, this cartridge is ideal for residential, commercial, and reverse osmosis pre-filtration applications

Installation:

Install the cartridge into a compatible 10″ DOE filter housing, ensuring the cartridge is correctly seated before tightening the housing.
