All things considered this Re-mineralising (pH raising) 10 inch cartridge, DOE. We specifically designed it for standard “slim” filter housings, which have an outer diameter of approximately 2.5 inches.

• Function: The main purpose is to neutralize the acidic (low pH) water produced by reverse osmosis systems. Raising the pH to a more neutral or slightly alkaline level (typically between 7.0 and 9.0). It also reintroduces healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium, improving the water’s taste and supporting bodily health.
• Media: Natural mineral media fills the cartridge; most commonly high-purity crushed and screened calcite. As water passes through, the calcite dissolves, adding calcium carbonate to the water. Some blends may include other mineral stones and ceramic balls.
• Design: The Double Open End (DOE) design means the cartridge has an open end on both the top and bottom. Which allows it to fit snugly into standard filter housings using internal spring mechanisms or caps for sealing. This design provides versatility in installation.
