The UV Bulb 55 Watt is a replacement ultraviolet lamp designed for compatible UV water-treatment systems using a 55W UV lamp.

This germicidal UV-C lamp provides the UV-C radiation required for ultraviolet microbial treatment. When installed in a compatible UV reactor and operated with the correct ballast, the lamp provides the UV-C light source used to help inactivate microorganisms as water passes through the treatment chamber.

The lamp has an average service life of approximately 10,000 hours under suitable operating conditions. It is supplied as a replacement lamp only and requires a compatible UV ballast and quartz sleeve for installation in a UV treatment system.

Installation & Handling:

UV lamps should be handled carefully during installation.

• Switch off and isolate the UV system before replacing the lamp.
• Allow the lamp and system to cool before handling.
• Do not touch the glass portion of the UV lamp with bare hands.
• Use clean gloves or a suitable cloth when handling the lamp.
• Inspect the lamp for damage before installation.
• Ensure the lamp is correctly seated and connected.
• Confirm that the quartz sleeve is clean and undamaged.
• Check all seals and connections before restoring water flow.
• Do not operate the UV system unless the lamp is correctly installed inside the reactor.

UV-C radiation can cause injury to the eyes and skin. Never look directly at an operating UV-C lamp or operate an exposed lamp.
