Description
The UV Bulb 30 Watt is a replacement ultraviolet lamp designed for compatible 30W UV water-treatment systems. The lamp produces UV-C radiation that is used to inactivate microorganisms as water passes through a compatible UV reactor.
UV-C treatment provides a chemical-free method of microbial control. When correctly matched to the UV reactor and operated under the manufacturer’s specified conditions, the UV lamp exposes the water to UV-C radiation as it flows through the treatment chamber.
This replacement lamp is intended for replacing a worn or failed 30W UV lamp in a compatible UV water-treatment system. Regular lamp replacement is important because UV lamps can continue producing visible light while their effective UV-C output decreases with operating hours.
Important: This product is the replacement UV lamp only. The UV reactor, ballast, quartz sleeve and other system components are not included unless specifically stated.

- Supports system performance: Replacing an old lamp helps restore the UV system’s intended operating condition.
- Easy maintenance: A replacement lamp is a practical component for routine UV system servicing.
- Versatile application: Suitable for compatible domestic, borehole and small commercial water-treatment systems.
Important compatibility information:
Before ordering, confirm that this 30W UV lamp is compatible with your existing UV system check:
- Lamp wattage.
- Lamp connection/base.
- Physical lamp length.
- Lamp diameter.
- Ballast compatibility.
- UV reactor model.
- Quartz sleeve dimensions.
- Electrical requirements.
Do not select a replacement UV lamp based on wattage alone.
A 30W lamp may have different physical dimensions, electrical characteristics or connection types depending on the UV system. Using an incompatible lamp can result in poor operation or damage to the lamp, ballast or UV reactor.
If you are unsure which replacement lamp your system requires, confirm the existing lamp specifications or contact The Water Company before ordering.
Installation & handling:
UV lamps should be handled carefully during installation.
- Switch off and isolate the UV system before replacing the lamp.
- Allow the lamp and system to cool before handling.
- Do not touch the glass portion of the UV lamp with bare hands.
- Use clean gloves or a suitable cloth when handling the lamp.
- Inspect the lamp for damage before installation.
- Ensure the lamp is correctly seated and connected.
- Confirm that the quartz sleeve is clean and undamaged.
- Check all seals and connections before restoring water flow.
- Do not operate the UV system unless the lamp is correctly installed inside the reactor.
UV-C radiation can cause injury to the eyes and skin. Never look directly at an operating UV-C lamp or operate an exposed lamp.
Professional installation is recommended where required.
Warranty & electrical safety:
Due to the sensitive nature of electrical products, UV bulbs and ballasts do not carry a warranty.
The Water Company recommends installing suitable surge protection to help protect UV lamps, ballasts and other sensitive electrical components from voltage surges and premature failure.
