Description

The Rotameter 0.6–6 m³/h Plastic Tube Type Flow Meter is an in-line variable-area flow meter designed for measuring the flow rate of water through a piping system. The visible float moves within the graduated measuring tube as water passes through the meter, allowing the operator to quickly read the approximate flow rate.

Its compact construction and easy-to-read scale make it suitable for monitoring water flow in filtration, water purification, reverse osmosis and other water treatment applications where a simple visual indication of flow is required.

How a Rotameter Works:

A rotameter is a variable-area flow meter. As water flows upward through the tapered tube, it causes the internal float to rise. The position of the float corresponds to the flow rate shown on the graduated scale.

This provides a simple visual indication of the water flow rate without requiring electrical power.

Installation:

The Rotameter 0.6–6 m³/h should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation requirements, with the measuring tube positioned in the correct orientation to allow proper float movement and a clear flow-rate reading.

The piping should be properly supported to prevent excessive mechanical stress on the meter. Flush the pipework before installation to remove debris that could interfere with the float or measuring tube.
